On the road again. . .

We're on our way home today. After three wonderful weeks of being on the road we are finally heading home to Phoenix. We are very sad to leave our cousins/family but we are so excited to see our Daddy again. He has been home by himself and we've missed him terribly. It took us about 13 hours to get home--thank goodness for dvd players, eh? I'm ready for bed!We were surrounded by some killer storms on our way home, especially coming across I-40 from New Mexico to Flagstaff. It was a nice change of scenery and the rain was awesome.

Mike & Laura's house

This is the last stop of our long trek. We spent about 3 1/2 days with Mike, Laura and the girls. We had a wonderful visit. It was so fun to see the girls again and see how much their personalities have developed. What a bunch a sweethearts! And Cami is one smart little girl--she never ceases to amaze me! We spent our time at the park, at the North Pole (see next post), church, and just visiting and playing. It was a very relaxing and memorable visit.

Audrey got attached to Zac very quickly. He was her limo--taking her wherever her heart desired. They were adorable to watch--Audrey has such a sweet spirit--she would just lay her head on Zac's shoulder and smile!

The swing in the basement is one of the favorites of all the cousins.
It is great fun for everyone!

Her favorite games to play were Hullabaloo, "shapes" and "colors".

The North Pole

Today we went with Laura and the girls to the North Pole. It is a small amusement park on the side of Pikes Peak (mountain). It was so much fun---the kids had a blast. Laura and I got a great workout pushing strollers up and down the mountainside. (It is literally on the side of the mountain) Cami hurt her knee on Thursday night and wasn't able to walk so she got to ride in her wheelchair. What a fun day! Thanks, Laura!

Our last day with Wendy!

The little girls felt left out this morning so we gave them mini-pedicures. They are so cute!

This is our last day at Wendy's house. It has been a fantastic week and we have loved every minute of it. It was so good to be able to visit and strengthen friendships. We are very sad to leave. We will miss them and hope we get to see them at Thanksgiving! Thanks for a great week! Love you all!

Girl's Night

Tonight all the big girls stayed up and did facials and pedicures. Wendy had quite the set up in her family room. We watched a movie while we did our pedicures in a bucket. It was tons of fun.

Dress Up

One of the favorite things to do at Wendy's house was to play in the dress up clothes. There was always someone running around in costume. The bigger kids even got in on the fun!

Kailey pulled out the winter clothes and they all had fun wearing the hats, boots, and gloves even though it was 95 degrees outside.

Swimming

We took it easy today and just hung out at the house. This morning Wendy filled the pool in the backyard so that it would be "not-so-cold" by the time the kids went out to swim after lunch. It was perfect and the kids had lots of fun. We played games and video games and just visited. It was a great day!

Up the Canyon again!

We headed up the canyon again today and stopped in Estes Park to do some shopping. It is a very fun place (similar to the shops in Sedona) and we bought Colorado shirts for everyone and even found some very cute moose pj's. After the kids were totally tired of shopping we took a picnic to the park and played in the river some more.

Picnic up the Canyon

Today we went up the canyon to picnic and play in the river. We found a beautiful park and played all afternoon. The water was freezing cold but we really didn't notice after the first few minutes since it was a warm day. It was 90-95 degrees almost the whole time we were in Colorado. We seem to take the heat with us wherever we go.
