July 4th In St. George

This weekend is the beginning of our summer trip through Utah and Colorado. Our first stop was at Scott and Amy's house in St. George. Unfortunately, we were too busy having fun to take very many pictures. Charity and Emily went and did some construction clean-up with Derrek and Alec to earn some spending money. Of course, the four of them went to the mall the next day to spend it! They all had a blast playing guitar hero (yes, we brought it with!), jumping on the trampoline, skateboarding, watching fireworks, eating, playing and just hanging out. Sam & Scott Steve and Wayne rode up on their motorcycles on the 4th and enjoyed a beautiful (and hot) ride through southern Utah over the next couple of days. Steve had some problems with a broken valve stem on his tire that caused some grief and an extra long ride, but it was worth it--if you ask them! Silly Alec! On Saturday night, we went to light off fireworks in Scott's neighbor's cul-de-sac. The whole neighborhood was there and the street was full of kids and TONS of fireworks. It was a great experience since fireworks are illegal in Arizona. The kids thought it was great! Another highlight of the weekend was getting to visit with my youngest brother, Jeff. He is working near St. George at a wilderness camp, hence the scruffy face. He happened to be off work and we got to see him a couple times and even got to see Kristen (his girlfriend). This is a picture of Jeff holding Slowpoke, Scott's ball python. He's a lot braver than I am!
